Have you ever wondered what goes on underwater once the sun has set? The thought of entering our warm waters at night seems mysterious yet so alluring. At night you drop into a whole new wonderful world and watch it come to life under the light of your torch, the colours are even more vibrant at night. The reef changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge to feed, from the tiniest boxer shrimp to predator fish looking for their next meal. We begin at dusk and end with a sky of twinkling stars, not to be missed.

Whale Shark Excursion
Whale sharks are the largest fish on the planet, they can grow up to 14m long – no need to be afraid of these gentle giants though, they are filter-feeders. They move slowly and eat plankton and microscopic plants and creatures. The Maldives is the only place in the world with a year-round population of these gentle giants. They move slowly and eat plankton and microscopic plants and creatures. Since they are wild animals, there’s no guarantee of a definite sighting, but we know the best spots to try to find them. Our day trip to Maamagili takes two hours in each direction but if your luck is in, you just might be rewarded with one of the most incredible experiences of your lifetime as you snorkel alongside one of the most impressive creatures in the ocean. This excursion is only available as a private trip.

Local Island Visit
Experience the real Maldives on this visit to a local island. You’ll be welcomed to the island with a fresh coconut drink before you set off to explore. The trip includes a visit to a local house, souvenir shops and a boatyard where traditional boat-building skills are still used today. Wander down sandy streets, watch fishermen bringing back their catches of the day, women playing ‘bashi’ and children on their way to school. Discover the laid-back pace of island life, where Maldivians live a simple, and often traditional, life a world away from the luxury resorts their country is famous for.

Malé Visit
Here is your chance to visit this amazingly small but buzzing capital city which has been extended by reclaiming land from the ocean and once there was no more space for outward expansion the city continued to grow, upwards. Discover the culture, historical sites and daily life including a 17th Century mosque hewn from intricately-carved coral slabs (Old Friday Mosque), the imposing Grand Friday Mosque and Islamic Centre capped with golden domes, the new National Museum and stately Presidential residences. Other highlights include the bustling fish market which is packed with enormous tuna and sailfish as well as smaller catches such as grouper and snapper. Then enjoy a relaxing break alongside the city-dwellers in a traditional Maldivian tea shop.
